• Google's 'Project Loon,' an idea to bring balloon-powered internet to 'the entire world'

    Google has unveiled its "latest moonshot" out of the Google X labs which is called as "Project Loon,". It has sent a huge number of giant balloons to beam down internet access to remote regions around the globe. Google says that balloons make sense for this purpose — they're cheap to deploy and can provide wireless coverage in areas that would otherwise be difficult to serve due to geography.

    The long rumoured 6.44 inch Son 'togari' phablet aka Xperia Z Ultra has been announced finally, Sony has announced the launch of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra at Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai. The Xperia Z Ultra sports a 6.4-inch 1080p display that works with a stylus (or any pencil, Sony says), runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by Qualcomm's latest, the Snapdragon 800 processor. Sony is heralding the phone as the "world's slimmest and largest full HD smartphone." At 6.5 mm.

    Earlier we've been through several rumours about Samsung's refreshed Galaxy S4 with Snapdragon 800. Today Samsung unveiled the world’s first LTE-Advanced smartphone in the form of Galaxy S4 LTE-A. An upgraded version of the company’s internationally available Samsung Galaxy S4, the new smartphone not only offers better data download speeds but overall performance improvements, thanks to the presence of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

  • According to leaks Xperia Z Ultra to use an IGZO display

    New leaks of the Xperia Z Ultra hints that the device will be waterproof and possibly include a next generation IGZO display. The leaks, which come by the way of Know Your Mobile, were found on ePrice, a Chinese online retailer that offers smartphones and other handy gadgets for sale. According to the site, the Xperia Z Ultra is IP55 and IP58 certified, confirming that the device will be waterproof like the Xperia Z, the company’s current best-selling flagship Android device. A picture of what’s believed to be the device on an invitation sent out to users this past week had indicated that the device sported a headphone jack that didn’t have a waterproof cover, calling the possibility of the device being waterproof into question.

    It wasn't too long since the Samsung Galaxy S4 has hit the shelves and already, there are rumours spilling around regarding S4 successor. As a new rumor suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with a premium aluminum design just like HTC One rather than the plastic design that Samsung has used for its previous variants of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series of smartphones.
